Annual Speaker Meeting

Guest Speaker, Eric Partridge is from Dorchester N.B and is a member of the Atlantic Tool Collectors Association. He has been collecting tools since the age of 13 and now at the age of 80 he has acquired over 600 tools. Some of which are “rare and unique tools that you have never seen or will never see again” This meeting is open to the public and participants are asked to bring along with them any tool you might like to have identified.

Springtime and Farming Throughout The Ages Exhibit








Date: May 18th to June 13thth
Exhibit Hours:
Tuesday to Friday-9am to 5pm
Saturday -12 to 5pm
Admission $3.00 per person

This exhibit will depict Cumberland County’s farming, sheep shearing and other springtime activities throughout the ages. Learn about the early farming tools, the children’s role in farming and so much more.

Cumberland County’s Local Writers and Authors Exhibit

Date: May 11 to June 26th
Exhibit Hours:
Tuesday to Friday-9am to 5pm
Saturday -12 to 5pm
Admission $3.00 per person

This exhibit will showcase some of Cumberland County’s well-known writers and authors both past and present. Featured in the exhibit will be such writers and authors as: William R. Bird, Stanley T. Spicer, Robert Coates, Myrtle Chappell, Pauline Furlong, Gary Vickery, Laurie Glenn Norris and more.

Museums Across the Marsh Tour

Date: Saturday, June 5th & Sunday, June 6th
Time 10am to 5pm daily
Admission:
  • Individual Passports $4.00
  • Family Passports $10.00
These passports can be purchased at any of the participating museums.
Don’t forget to have your passport stamped at each museum for a chance to win prizes.
Take a journey back in time through this unique museum tour. Experience 2 fun filled days visiting heritage and cultural sites such as:
  • Dorchester’s Keillor House
  • Sackville’s The Boultenhouse Heritage Centre (with limited access to the Campbell Carriage Factory Museum)
  • Monroe House in Port Elgin
  • Fort Beausejour in Aulac
  • Cumberland County Museum and Archives in Amherst
  • Nova Scotia Highlanders Regimental Museum, Amherst.
  • St. James Textile Museum
